Disposing of around 200 m3 of water containing PFAS was not an option for the Swabian company at the foot of Hohenzollern Castle. Following a tip from the industry, they turned to Züblin Umwelttechnik GmbH, the leading company for PFAS purification systems. With the help of the necessary expertise and a PFAS-COMPACT system, the PFAS-contaminated extinguishing water was cleaned immediately. The sprinkler system was then flushed in order to clean any remaining extinguishing water. The officially specified purification target of PFASΣ23 < 0.1 µg/l was achieved without any problems, so that the purified water could be discharged into the sewer.
