Per- and polyfluorinated chemicals (PFCs), or more precisely per- and polyfluorinated alkyl substances (PFASs), are very stable and cannot yet be eliminated using in-situ remediation processes. While various PFAS cleaning processes are available for aqueous media, soil washing is currently the only economically viable process for cleaning PFAS-containing soils.
Züblin Umwelttechnik GmbH has extensive experience in the cleaning of PFAS-contaminated media and has designed and built over 50 individual cleaning plants for various locations throughout Germany and Europe since 2009.
