PFAS contamination in landfill leachate

How is PFAS-contaminated leachate from a landfill treated safely? Answers to this question are provided in a recent LinkedIn video by our client, Vigier Beton. The film shows the treatment plant installed at the Attisholzwald landfill site (Flumenthal/Riedholz, Solothurn) and illustrates the individual steps involved in water treatment.

The leachate collected via a drainage system is treated in a fully automated, multi-stage plant, and the PFAS are removed so that the treated water can be discharged into the River Aare.
The following video presents the plant from our client’s perspective.
